Pay-for-Performance 2016

Salary distribution based on 2016 stats. I started with Zach Sanders’s auction conversion tool. Additional changes are mentioned below.

I planned on putting together a 2016 actual $ value sheet for all formats soon, but thanks for sharing this!

I measured performance against league totals and then weighted the z-score for playing time. Then, I followed eamuscatuli’s suggestion to set a baseline at players needed to fill a given position. In turn, each position was allotted a percentage of salary corresponding to its ratio to the total.

I found the points to be split 54/46 between hitters and pitchers, with each subcategory having a unique ratio to the whole.

I did not include the Middle infield or Utility role, and this may affect salary distribution among hitters.
