We just finished our draft last night in a H2H league and when looking at the schedule generated for our league (https://ottoneu.fangraphs.com/1212/schedule) we noticed our first matchup starts March 18 but is essentially just 3 days long, ending on March 30.
Usually we’ve seen the first matchup stretch two weeks to avoid this type of thing. Is there anything we can do to improve the first week matchup so that it’s not so short?
There are 5 game days between March 18 and March 30, and it does stretch across 2 weeks. This is just the reality of H2H schedules with the international start to the season and the main regular season starting on a Thursday, with off-days baked in for weather.
Making the first week stretch from March 18 to April 6 would be really unwieldy and cost a whole game in the overall season, so this is the trade-off Ottoneu has decided to make.
