# 2026 FGPts Player Values (Retrospective)

Perhaps because I’m missing the 2026 season already, I’ve calculated some retrospective FGPts $ values for this past season.
Note that these values are imperfect in at least a few ways. For players who are platooned a lot, they can’t capture the fact that most managers will bench a player who doesn’t start a game. And for players who made appearances at both SP and RP, the values assume you could have perfectly captured every appearance in your lineup (I used a weighted average of their SP/RP appearances to calculate replacement value). But I think they provide a pretty good rough estimate of the value each player in the Ottoneu Universe returned this season. I’m interested in any thoughts or feedback if folks have any.

I acculate these every year, but haven’t done it yet. To help with your first point, I use points scored only for games that the hitter started and build my replacement level and everything off of P/GS. I think that’s a better measure and helps platoon hitters get a mor realistic value.
