2026 Ottoneu Football Calendar Start Date

The current Ottoneu Football “Calendar & Finances” page lists the start of the 2026 season as Friday, September 4, 2026. Can we get the Ottoneu season start date moved so Sunday, September 6 is in play for drafts?

The first NFL game is, I believe, Wednesday, September 9 (Super Bowl rematch).

(I think we started the league year on Sept 4 last year, because the season opened on that Thursday.)

Yep I’ll take a pass through the calendar later today - season definitely starts on 9/9.

This has been fixed. Season start has been bumped to 9/9 and the trade deadline is 11/25 (Wednesday before Thanksgiving).

Extending Trade Deadline

Is there any thought to extending the trade deadline or allowing leagues to choose the deadline? The current deadline felt awfully rushed, especially with the holiday. Going into the first weekend of December seems like the far preferable solution, to allow for teams to dive back in to trade talks after the holiday. Most redraft leagues have a deadline in December and here it seems concerns with late season trades are far less worrisome than redraft leagues. Heck, I’m not sure you need a trade …
