# Cutting players during the auction draft

Hello Niv, I know that from the keeper deadline on Jan 31 until the league’s auction draft the rosters are frozen and teams are not allowed to make cuts. But are cuts allowed during the draft or do you have to wait until after the draft is over? I was curious for all those owners that may have lost a player during Spring Training to injury. Thanks.

You cannot cut or trade players during the auction draft. However, after the draft is marked as done you can trade and cut players. Loans are allowed in trades after the draft as well.

If I drop a player mid draft will I be able to use the cap savings (and draft an additional player)?
Mainly asking because I have Gerrit Cole in a league and am trying to figure out if I have the ability to drop him mid-draft and use the cap savings ($15 on a $30 Cole in this case) in the draft depending on how the draft is going.

You cannot cut a player during the draft.

You cannot cut players after the keeper deadline until after the auction draft.
