# Football has incorrect player ages

Kyle Pitts was apparently born on November 30, 1 B.C. (-0001). He is 2021 years old!
Should I still keep him? I mean what’s another year at that age; he should’ve fallen off the cliff a couple millennia ago yet the upside has never been higher!
I think this affected the whole rookie class (e.g. Mac Jones, Javonte Williams, JaMarr Chase, etc).

So it turns out there are a lot of players who have no birthdate provided by our data provider. The age / birthday fields are now not displaying for players who are missing birthdays in our DB.

OK. Clearly an issue on their end then, someone must have pressed the wrong button recently because this is a recent development. I’m sure it’ll work out eventually.

Old post but wondering if there is any movement on ages / DOBs for football players?
EDIT: Upon further evaluation, maybe this only affects some players?

Yep, totally inconsistent and sometimes gets backfilled in by the data provider and other times not.
