Seems David and I stepped on each other a bit here, but hopefully our explanations help clarify the thought process behind the proposed league setting. Maybe have something set up similar to the FAAB process for NFBC leagues but shorten the timeframe to 48 hours? Starting auctions helps league health, but so does the giving overall priority of player additions to teams that are doing worse in the standings. Weighted chance is the fairest way to address this tension, and I believe better than doing nothing for teams that start auctions.
