Salary cap after losing first round of playoffs

My salary cap is over $400 with loans. I lost first round of playoffs on Sunday night. On Monday, I was in a valid state, and I won a FA bid that put me $4 over my cap. I cut two $4 players (who won’t disrupt playoffs) to be valid and keep making moves. But now it says I’m invalid because my salary is not under $400. Is that a glitch or do loans “disappear” 2 days after you are out of playoffs?

What about non-playoff teams that paid out big loans? Did outgoing loans “disappear” and now their salary cap is back up to $400 again? Even though the remaining playoff teams still have the loans? They can keep making roster moves, including adding keepers towards the end of last week, with their loans in full effect.

I could cut more expensive star players, so I can keep making moves, but I feel that would be disruptive to playoffs. Also, any players I cut can be signed at discount. Meanwhile, remaining playoff teams won’t lose their loans until after the playoffs, so they can hold their players until the end and be sure they will be available again in the draft. Seems like it would make a lot more sense just to have all loans active until all loans are not active.

Can you link to your team?

Loans don’t expire until the season ends.

If you have fewer free roster spots than dollars available, you are in an illegal state. Adding 1 player at $4 and cutting 2 players that add up to $4 sounds like exactly that.

League 1086

You have 2 free roster spots (spots over 40 don’t count) and $0 free dollars.

This shows that your loans haven’t expired, and that you have no free money and 38 players.

Invalid message :You do not have enough money to fill 40 roster spots. While you can visit the home, team, and auction tabs above, you will not be able to propose or accept trades or change your lineups. Please remedy this immediately.

Yeah, you have $0 free dollars and 2 free roster spots. That is not enough money to fill 40 roster spots.

oooooh I get it now! thanks!
