Believe it or not, this is how I generate dollar values for 5x5s. I simulate thousands of leagues and players are credited when their “team” does well (based on projections). It works incredibly well despite the unbalanced teams (law of large numbers and all).

Maybe you should randomly generate team names? Like any place name literally on the planet and any noun–The Reykjavic Shoelaces, The Sao Paulo Staplers, etc.
