Ottoneu sits perfectly between redraft and dynasty, but many owners find themselves adding additional leagues every season because they enjoy the challenge “rebuild” process so much. Taking a page from this recent post, I thought I would try my hand at predicting the future by ranking the best MLB players for the 2023 season. With scoring based on FanGraphs Points, it’s probably best to read these rankings as “which player would I select before the other” as if doing a snake draft five years from now.
Ages shown are for the 2023 season. I’ve taken some liberty in moving players to positions I think they’re most likely to fill five years from now (Vlad, Jr. is listed at 1B, for example). Interested in any discussion – what else do we have to do while we wait for Harper and Machado to sign?
