Emmanuel Clase has been added to MLB’s Restricted List/ administrative leave which takes him off Cleavland’s 40-man roster. He is currently showing as “Out” but with no added roster spot taking effect.
Does this fall outside Rule IV e?
If a player is suspended, on the 60-day IL, on the COVID-19 IL, or opted out of the MLB season, an additional player can be added to the roster.
