End of 2025-26 Basketball Season Megathread

Today marks the end of the 2025-26 Ottoneu Fantasy Basketball season. Congrats to everyone who won their league and finished in the top 3.

As is tradition, here is the timeline for the end of season tasks:

Today
Default salary increases will be applied and the season will be rolled over to 2026-27.

Tomorrow, March 31
Prize leagues will have their prizes sent out. You can use your prize money to renew your teams or get a digital transfer or a paper check sent yoru way.

May 1
Arbitration will begin

June 1
Arbitration ends and the off-season begins in earnest

September 15
Keeper deadline! Draft season!

I am curious about moving arbitration up by 2 weeks and extending the off-season.

  • Arbitration starts on May 1 (keep it)
  • Arbitration starts on April 15 (move everything up 2 weeks)

Base increases have been applied. Will post here when I get prizes out, which should be tomorrow.

This would not move up the keeper deadline. Just shift the window of arb earlier and make the off-season trade window longer.

Prizes have been paid!

I’ll make a final call on arbitration moving up 2 weeks by April 5, so please encourage your leagues to vote by then.

I obviously blew right through this April 5 date, so let’s keep arb dates where they are this season. Next season, basketball arbitration will move up 2 weeks and the end will move up 2 weeks. This won’t affect the keeper deadline, and will just extend the amount of time people can trade in the offseason, with the trade-off of arbitration being done well before the NBA postseason is over.
