Entering an illegal state during the draft

Hi Guys,

I have a quick question regarding our Ottoneu fantasy football draft.

I have a current keeper on my roster at a price that I’m considering cutting them if I can grab a more enticing player with their proceeds in the draft. For example, lets say this player I kept has a $30 price tag. Will I be able to overspend in the draft room by $15 (half of his salary), making my team illegal in the draft room, but knowing I will be cutting the $30 player I already have post draft? Or will the draft stop me from continuing to round out my roster as soon as I go over the $400 amount?

Any guidance is appreciated!

You cannot go into an illegal state during the draft. You are not allowed to place a bid that would put you in an illegal state, the site simply won’t let you.
