How Hard is the 30 day redraft clock?

Lets say I drop someone one day and as soon as he comes off waivers someone starts an auction on him and wins him. Then he dislocates a finger, so he gets dropped again. All of this happens in the course of 7 days. Would I be able to re-draft him? or would I still be under the 30 day clock and have to wait another 23 days?

You have to wait 30 days after cutting someone to reacquire them no matter any other transactions.
