OOTP Lockdown League: Trade Block

Forth Worth looking for 55+ OVR RP.

2b Isan Diaz and 1B/LF Dom Smith could use a new home.

Many minor leaguers are avail as well.

Rochester has made it known that Marcus Semien is being shopped around the league. 60/60 SS who is just as good at 2nd (he got to 55 OVR defensively there in just a couple weeks of ST, he should get to 65/70 there)

Also available: (looking for pitching prospects mainly)

55 OVR Matt Carpenter (18 homers, .350 OBP this year - and only 1.5 mil)
45 OVR RP Matt Treinen
50 OVR C Robinson Chirinos (willing to retain all salary)
45 OVR OF Hunter Renfroe (cheap and cost controlled for a few more years)

Cleveland has received an offer for Ken Giles. After climbing back to a few games over .500, a rough week set the Spiders back quite a bit and they are said to be considering the offer for Giles. After a rough start, Giles has had an ERA under 2.50 since late April. On April 17 and 18, he gave up 5 ER over two appearances. He has allowed only 6 ER in the nearly-three-months since.

In an last effort to set up a better 2022, the Carp Streamers will accept deals for Joe Musgrove. The Windsocks are looking for young pitchers under team control, preferably 40-man ready. If a team has money, defensive centerfielder Ender Inciarte would love to be coupled with a Musgrove deal. Inciarte wants to play for a contender he says, where, his coaches agree, he will flourish like algae in a lagoon.

Tucson is making a valiant effort to “Let the kids play”(™MLB) and as such would like to move a couple more ML players off their roster prior to the deadline.

Specifically looking to move:
Backup SS Dansby Swanson 45/45 smashing lefties to the tune of a .310 BA and .746 OPS. Arb eligible for 1 more year.
C Mitch Garver horrible statistical season but still rated 55/55. Arb eligible for 2 more years.
Platoon 1B Eric Hosmer 45/45 and has a .822 OPS against right handers. Leader in the clubhouse and Very Popular nationally.

Tucson is rumored to be considering and also potentially accepting terrible deals in order to move these players.

OKC is willing to move one or two quality OLL players at the deadline in an effort to shake up the roster and add a little breathing room to the financial bottom line. Primarily seeking prospects in return and willing to look at guys who are further away if that helps.

Possible guys to move include:

  • Hunter Dozier (50 OVR, great 1B defense, okay at 3B/RF), very team friendly contract;

  • Eddie Rosario (60/55/60/30/60 vs RHP), less than $1M remaining owed for this season;

  • Domingo German (50 OVR, flourished in a long relief role this year), at least three years of team control remaining;

  • Sean Newcomb (45 OVR, can start or be long relief, 3.82 ERA out of the pen this year), three years of arb control left;

  • Jedd Gyorko (50 OVR, is destroying LHP in AAA with a 191 OPS+ if that’s something you need);

  • Danny Santana (45 OVR, great season in 2020 but the arrival of Josh Lowe left him without a job), rental with about $3M left on his deal;

ABQ is exploring the trade market for Victor Robles ahead of today’s deadline. He’s still under team control and needs a change of scenery for the production to match the grades, especially on offense.

Internally ABQ has Mr. Robles graded at 75 at both corner OF spots and 65 CF, with 70 range and a 70 arm. He’s a 55 OVR, 60 POT, and is under team control until at least 2024. ABQ is seeking a return aligned with both his talent and his bargain basement price.
