I’m going to be in Chicago and free on Wednesday, June 10th. Chicago is huge and Wednesday is not Saturday but I wanted to feel out if anyone would be up for a beer.
The Cubs are not in town, so maybe Wrigleyville, or maybe downtown? I’ll need guidance on an easy-to-get-to place for like, 630p CT on a Wednesday.
Chicagoland, let me know.

I’ll also be available after the White Sox-Dodgers game on Sunday, June 14, if the consensus is meeting up near Rate Field on a Sunday after a game is better than meeting up in Downtown on a Wednesday evening.
I unfortunately am not free Thurs-Sat.

Oh man, excited to add this one to the calendar (in pen)—for downtown, if we’re looking at the loop, maybe Monk’s or Little Toasted? Close(ish) by, goose island’s salt shed pub? Haven’t been, but I’ve definitely been meaning to go.

Chicago meetup sounds great, count me in!
I have a couple suggestions if you do end up deciding on having the meet up around Bridgeport.
Marz Brewing is my favorite spot in the neighborhood and I think it’d be conducive to the meet up. Plenty of space. But it’s on the other side of Bridgeport, so it’d probably be a bus ride from the game.
If you’re looking for something within walking distance, I’d suggest Off Hours at Ramova. They have a fantastic patio with plenty of space.

I should be able to make it up for a Chicago Meetup (I’m 2.5 hrs away). Sunday would work best for me. Id come up to catch the game before.

Let’s try a poll. Let me know if you are available Wednesday downtown, Sunday afternoon in Bridgeport, or both:
- Wednesday June 10 around 6ish or so until whenever, downtown
- Sunday June 14 after CWS-LAD, Bridgeport (‘near’ Rate Field)
I’d be totally down for meeting on the 14th. I’d probably also go to the game if people wanna hang there too

Not sure what you mean by “downtown” but there isn’t much life after the work day ends currently. Its picking up a bit, but you’d have to go a little north for things to be open and/or have people in them. Just FYI

I coach 13U travel baseball and we’re in a tournament the weekend of June 13-14, so I can’t commit. I would be able to make the June 10 date as things stand right now.
I would prefer downtown for meet up and not see dodgers beat the white Sox as Sox supporter. A Rockies match up would be preferrable

I’m down, someone said salt shed. They Also have a pretty cool bar/arcade over there as well. Bridgeport would be awesome, it’s a great neighborhood.

…ditto the comment that you should go north. Downtown is challenging. Parking, personal safety is challenging. Many good locations more by O’Hare Field. Betcha, more of OttoNeu fan base more accessable to the O’Hare Field area. Non Cub game Wrigley Foield opens up the meeting locations. Again parking, personal safety a challenge.
Half Sour in Printer’s Row is a nice option close to downtown. Otherwise probably going to have better luck in river north than the loop.

Alright let’s commit to Bridgeport on Sunday, 6/14.
I’ll make my way from Rate Field to Marz Brewing after the game ends. I’ll try to get there around 430pm CT. I’ll be decked out in Ottoneu gear, so come by and say hey!
If you can’t make it, no worries, I’m sure I will be back soon.

Have a great time, hope I can make the next one. And hope I’ll hear a review of the footlong Comiskey dog!

Just wanted to say, this hasn’t been true lately in my experience and we aren’t even into Summer yet, I’ve had to search around for places that weren’t packed after work (including the ones I linked earlier). In the last few years I definitely would have agreed.
