I’m simming a little late today. Stuck because New Orleans has someone out of DFA time but on revocable waivers.
Please please please please please
Check your DFA every single time before you export.
Yaks also had a DFA problem. As we move to 1 week sims, please make sure to check your DFA before exporting.
Long-ish delay tonight because of the DFA issues. Save file is up through 1/7/2021. We made it you guys. Tomorrow we go to 1/14. Thursday will be 1/21.
We should discuss if Friday’s sim will be to Spring Training, two weeks, or 7 days. Please let me know your thoughts.
The faster the better.
Agreed – doesn’t seem like there’s much left to do in the off-season apart from trying to wrangle some of the remaining free agents, so I’m all for moving to Spring Training pretty quickly.
We are leaning towards sticking with one week sims, with maybe a 2 week one in early Feb in-game. Only works if everyone keeps a close eye on their DFA.
Trade Announcement:
OKC has agreed to satisfy the perfectly reasonable request from Ft. Worth for a AAAA player by sending Kyle Farmer and his sparkplug personality to the Ballpark of the Kings in exchange for 18 yr old catcher Alek Boychuk.
Kyle Farmer is heard to be thrilled to have the chance to fulfill his lifelong dream of being the 26th man and social event organizer on a big league roster.
I am good with any decision made, but would be thrilled with the 2-weeks at a time until spring. Jumping all the way to spring seems a little fast, but 2-week chunks is a reasonable alternative.
WRT playoff expansion, are there any alternatives to the current set-up being discussed? Top 6 teams in the league? top 3 from each division? Top 8 div/league? Status quo? Etc
I think something more balanced, ie top in the league rather than division makes sense, as does an expansion, perhaps all the way to 8 teams.
4 would be 2 in each division
6 would be 3 in each division, 2 v 3 to play 1
8 would be 4 in each division
Those are the 3 options.
Due to DFA issues (ahem) we can’t move more than a week at a time, I think. I’d like to move faster too but OOTP does not allow for longer waiver or DFA periods than we already have.
confirmed
