Fort Worth looking to trade OF Tauchman for a young 45/50 FV RP with options
AAA Catcher B.Serven avail as well (edited)
In the most alliterative trade of the offseason thus far, the Indianapolis Gearheads trade RP Phillip Pfeifer to the Milwaukee Milkshakes for SS prospect Brainer Bonaci.
The Baltimore Archers send RF Mitch Haniger and 2B Sean Rodriguez to the Rochester Rodent-Felines in exchange for Hanser Alberto (75% retained), P Yerry Rodriguez, C Dillon Dingler, and SS Michael De Leon.
Baltimore currently has 20 players listed as Ready for All Levels in AAA. While we don’t plan to move Davis, Rengifo, White, or Rocker, there are some diamonds in the rough that we would like to move for an upgrade or prospects. Some highlights:
Not to be outdone by the A’s, Indy has 34 AAA players who OSA thinks are ready for the majors. We would like to hold on to Oswald Peraza, but any of the others could be traded for RP, 40+ FV prospects who are farther away, or salary relief. Indy submits for your consideration:
SP Derian Gonalez (45/45, ML contract): good back-of-the-rotation guy
RP Lucas Sims (45/45, ML contract): 75 STU but 30 MOV; will play better in an AVG park
IF/OF Travis Blankenhorn (40/50, MiLB contract): good bat and baserunning abilities
OF Nick Heath (45/45, ML contract): patience hitter, great speed and defense
Not untouchable, but more expensive:
SP Kris Bubic (35/50, MiLB contract): finesse pitcher with great potential; MLB-ready as RP (45/55)
Also still available:
OF Mike Yastrzemski (45/45, ML contract): good defense, hits well against RHP
IF Andy Ibanez (45/45, ML contract): platoons well against LHP
UPDATE: Due to certain owners of questionable repute assuming the worst of intentions, Indy issues a formal statement that we are not attempting to move Alford, Myers, Garcia, Garrett, Markel, McFarland, Ottavino, Petit, Vincent, or Zombro. All of these players are on minor-league contracts with a 30-day option.
OKC sends Robinson Chirinos (retaining 45% of his salary) along with prospects Sal Stewart, Patrick Dayton, Vince Arobio and minor league cheerleader Yoenis Cespedes to Rochester in exchange for Xavier Fernandez
