Here is a starting pitcher you can get for ~$1 in most leagues right now that had some really interesting splits last year, including a great 2nd half at 5.0+ P/IP. Anyone guess this SP?

Pretty sure it’s Hendricks.
Good guess but answer is not Kyle Hendricks, who didn’t have a single month last year approaching 9.0 K/9. This particular pitcher had a K/9 of 9.0 or higher in four of six months, including 10.8 K/9 in 31 August innings. Also had a 2nd half FIP of 2.82.
