The Next $60 Hitter

#1

The average salary for Mike Trout (7.11.17) across Ottoneu leagues is $70. Which hitter is the most likely to become an average $60+ player by the end of 2018?

**

Who is the next $60 hitter?

**

  • BRYCE HARPER
  • AARON JUDGE
  • PAUL GOLDSCHMIDT
  • KRIS BRYANT
  • GIANCARLO STANTON
  • JOEY VOTTO
  • MANNY MACHADO
  • CARLOS CORREA
  • COREY SEAGER
  • MOOKIE BETTS
  • NOLAN ARENADO
  • MIGUEL SANO
  • FREDDIE FREEMAN
  • CODY BELLINGER

I would have voted for Harper but the he already Is one. I don’t think anyone else on the list is particularly close.

Harper is (shockingly) a $54 player on average in Ottoneu.

Yep, that’s sort of the point - who in baseball could take the next step to become a $60 worthy player next year? For example, it may be bold now, but I absolutely think Carlos Correa could take another major step forward next year (which is primarily the reason I started the poll). Curious what others think.

I would still disagree that Rizzo is a $60 player next year if he gets 2B eligibility (this was debated recently on Slack)

I also think Harper is already a $60+ guy. The bar is so low at SS/MI that I chose Correa. Otherwise I’d vote for Bryant.
