Thanks for the assist yesterday. Our draft is still showing as “in progress” even though we finished last night. I’ve tried team management to make sure every team is checked off as being done. Wondering if this has anything to do with the changes that had to be made last night?

You’ll want to go to the league settings and end the draft in there

Hi @nivshah , we’re currently drafting (Foul Play) and are encountering this issue where the draft room is showing a different cap allowance than people should have based on their team page.

I’m closing the loop here:

This past off-season, I made some changes on how free cap space shows up in draft rooms. I did this to speed things up quite a bit, and when things weren’t hard breaking, I believe my changes did in fact speed up the draft room.

The new way I calculated used a function that, crucially, included the salary of voted off players in the Salary Cap used. This was a change from the 2025 draft season, in which voted off salary was not included in Salary Cap used. This was a complete oversight by me - not intentional at all.

Going forward, vote off salary is not included in a team’s cap space used in the draft room. You are free to use this money however you want, and this removes the need for a vote off player to be nominated in order for their salary to be freed off your cap.

The other quirk here is an extreme edge case, where a player is voted off a roster and is never nominated in the draft. I’m not sure this has ever happened, should ever happen, or will ever happen. However, if it does happen and a draft is ended, the vote-off coupon will be deleted and the player will remain on their team at their current salary - the coupon will not be automatically applied.

I will make sure the rules page documents this. I appreciate everyone’s patience getting through the quirkiness, and I hope 2026 draft season goes much, much smoother for those of you in Vote Off leagues (and everyone else too, of course).
