First time Ottoneu player, and my initiation - aided by my own stupidity - was to get took by “Wander Franco”, who I snatched up hungrily on draft night - only to discover that this Wander is in fact a 24-year old non-prospect in the Giants system. The real Wander Franco in Ottoneu is of course “Wander Samuel Franco,” which I would have known if I’d done my research. Or, you know, saw the little “SFG.” But alas!

Anyway, just wanted to pass it on so that any other unsuspecting n00bs like myself don’t get screwed. At least I got out of it for only $3 and a little knock on my pride.

I did exactly the same thing. Was so happy when I won him for $4. Then, right after I’d stocked my whole 40-man roster, WANDER SAMUEL FRANCO was nominated. Such sadness! He went for a buck.

Happily, his owner agreed to a trade.
