Shohei Ohtani is coming to LAA. He will be a new breed of fantasy player used at both SP and UTIL or maybe even OF.

At what price ($) do you expect Ohtani to auction for in 2018 (Ottoneu FGPTS)?

Posted my thoughts on what Ohtani might be worth in FGPTS this season:

Coincidentally enough your conclusion was very similar to the math I did about a month ago using Ohtani’s ZiPS projection:

Using the ZiPS projection, here is a rough value:
112 OPS+, 250 PA (non-pitching appearances)- using Util-only eligibility, that would be similar to Ryan Zimmerman/Hanley Ramirez/Justin Smoak projections. Those three average about 5.48 PPG, and over 60 G (approx 4.2 PA/G) that would be worth about $6
119 ERA+ (3.55 ERA), 140 IP- That ERA projection is most similar to James Paxton/Alex Wood/Luis Severino, who average 4.63 Pts/IP. 4.63 Pts/IP over 140 IP is worth about $20.
So $6 as a hitter, and $20 as a pitcher, for a $26 value.
