Unable to pay with credit card

Multiple people in our league are trying to renew, myself included, and are getting “Deposit Failed To Process - Term ID” errors. Multiple people across multiple devices.

This is probably on our end. I’ll check it out ASAP. I believe a number of folks have also already renewed for this upcoming year.

We’ve had 4 renew, two of us just tried to and got that error.

Paydala is working with me on this and I expect it to be resolved today or tomorrow.

I’ve temporarily disabled renewals while I continue to work on this issue.

I do not expect it to affect the renewal deadline, though this timing could be better!

The team extension deadline is Aug 1 but when I click on Extend Now, the balance and bank icons are grayed out

Alright, we’re still paused on football renewals. I’ll have either a “we’re all good” or a “we’re going to push back the renewal deadline” update tomorrow sometime.

None of this affects anything other than the football renewal deadline, i.e. keeper deadline remains the same, etc.

Balance withdrawals remain available as well.

I can’t renew either. I wrote a complaint on another thread about the payment system. Now my best team I can’t pay for. The only option I get is to “cancel.”

If you have a prize balance you can renew out of it. Credit card and bank deposits are currently paused, as described in this thread. If you don’t have a balance, the “Cancel” button is so you can close the payments popup, ie cancel the current transaction.

Due to renewals being paused, I have extended the deadline to renew your football teams to August 8, 2025.

Normally on August 1, any team that has not been extended will be locked until they are paid for. Ottoneu gives a 7 day grace period before marking those teams as abandoned and making them available to the general public.

The deadline will now be August 8 and the grace period will last until August 15.

I’ll update this thread when I know more about when renewals will be available.

I have a small update here:

We remain paused on all incoming payments. One of the credit card processors that Paydala uses had an issue with fraud with another client, and everyone is affected as they are auditing all their clients.

This is a short-term issue, and should not affect our services in the medium- or long-term. I’m working with a number of parties on payment options, which are complicated by the legal gray area around season-long and multi-season-long fantasy sports. I cannot say much more about this in writing, but come to a meetup and we can talk about it.

In the meantime, I will continue extending the renewal deadline as necessary and will manually get anyone into a new league if they email help@ottoneu.com. I will update this thread when I have any new information. You can always email help@ottoneu.com if you have any questions.

I plan on extending the football renewal deadline an additional week. That change should be live this afternoon.

We’re still working through options but I believe we’re getting closer to a resolution.

I’ve extended the football payment deadline another 2 weeks. My thinking is to prioritize enough time for people to pay for their teams once our payment system is back up.

If you want to join an Ottoneu Fantasy Football league, you just have to email help@ottoneu.com or claim a team on the Available Teams page

We’ve filled one entirely new league and had half of the 8 abandoned teams claimed already.

May I verify that we are saying “Do not attempt a transaction right now”? I know we have the Renewals Temporarily Paused notice up, but the “Extend Now” from the dashboard opens a payment popup. I don’t want to enter payment details if this is not ready to attempt a payment process. Thank you, Niv, for fighting through this. I manage events IRL and payment systems (esp. when they must function internationally) are a huge complication.

I believe our Paydala button is disabled. If it isn’t, the credit card form on their end is disabled.

If you have a prize balance, you are welcome to use that to renew your team.

If you have a bank connection via Paydala, which I believe is required to withdraw your prize balance via direct deposit, you can use that as well, though I’m not sure you can get to the Paydala interface currently. I may be mistaken!

Paydala is not processing credit cards right now, but that is a temporary situation.
