Unable to pay with credit card

Tried to renew the first of three baseball leagues and received this error message when trying to charge my credit card: Declined by Processor or Issuer - Suspected fraud

EDIT: I only tried it once. If you’d like me to try it a second time to see if the error repeats, let me know

When that message comes through, it is because your credit card is flagging the charge. You may get an email or text from your credit card saying “was this you?”. Once you get that and say yeah, it was, the transactions will go through fine.

Sorry to bother you, but I’m getting multiple rejections of the same type on both of my CCs (VISA and MASTERCARD), issuer and/or processor doesn’t ask me anything, just flag the transaction as fraud and reject it. I am from Italy.

You should reach out to your credit card company. There’s generally a number on the back of your card or a website where you manage your card where you can tell them that a transaction they flagged as fraud isn’t fraud.

With the massive caveat that I don’t know how any of this works:

Using our new credit card processor, the charges should show up as Ottoneu now. We have our own merchant ID. I imagine some credit cards are more likely to flag new merchant IDs or merchant IDs they’ve never seen before.

Ultimately, if your card is not allowing the charge because of potential fraud, that is not even getting to our processor and is being flagged by your card upstream of us. I have no input or real advice other than “you can and should figure out how to tell your credit card to stop that”
